FcεR1α is subunit of the high affinity receptor of IgE to which it directly binds. FcεR1 is a tetrameric complex consisting of one α one β and twoγ subunis. The latter two are required for signal transduction activity. The FcεR1 complex plays an important role in triggering allergic responses.
The CRA1 (AER37) monoclonal antibody reacts with the FcεR1α subunit on a region that does not overlap the region of the IgE binding site thus it does not compete with IgE for the receptor binding. Since the CRA2 (AER24) monoclonal antibody reacts with the IgE binding site on FcεR1α it compete with IgE for the receptor binding. Combining the two antibodies one can quantitatively measure the amounts of the IgE-bound FcεR1α.
The IgG fraction is purified from serum free culture medium of mouse hybridoma (CRA1) by propriety chromatography under mild conditions. This product is an FITC-labeled IgG ([FITC]/[IgG] = 6.1) produced from the IgG fraction.

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a small (55-65 nm in size) enveloped positive sense single-stranded RNA virus in the family Flaviviridae and the principal cause of parenteral non-A non-B hepatitis. The virus genome consists of a single open reading frame of approximately 9.4 kb which encodes a single polyprotein of about 3010 amino acids (1 2 3). The polyprotein is processed by host cell and viral proteases into four structural proteins (core envelope1 and 2 and p7) and six non-structural proteins (NS2 3 4a 4b 5a and 5b) necessary for viral replication. HCV core protein (191 aa) is not only a component of nucleocapsid but also has multiple functions and is thought to be a pathogenic factor for hepatitis. It also participates in some cellular processes including transcriptional regulation and cellular transduction. HCV core antigen is used as diagnostic marker for HCV infection.

DNA methylation is a type of chemical modification of DNA that can be inherited and subsequently removed without changing the original DNA sequence. Therefore it is part of the epigenetic code and is also the most well characterized epigenetic mechanism. DNA methylation results in addition of a methyl group to DNA ― for example to the number 5 carbon of the cytosine pyrimidine ring ― which involves reduction in gene expression. SUMO (Small Ubiquitin-like Modifier) proteins are a family of small proteins that are covalently attached to and detached from other proteins in cells to modify their function. Unlike ubiquitination which targets proteins for degradation SUMO modification plays a critical role in a number of cellular functions including nucleocytoplasmic transport gene expression cell cycle and formation of subnuclear structures such as promyelocytic leukemia (PML) bodies. There are three confirmed SUMO isoforms in human; SUMO1 SUMO2 and SUMO3. SUMO2 /3 show a high degree of similarity to each other and are distinct from SUMO-1. Individual SUMO family members are all targeted to different proteins with diverse biological functions. SUMO-1 is conjugated to RanGAP PML p53 and IB- to regulate nuclear trafficking formation of subnuclear structures regulation of transcriptional activity and protein stability. SUMO1 is encoded as a 101 aa protein and first Met and C-terminal 4 aa are removed from the preprotein.
