Backgroud: Centrin 1 ( human; 172 aa MW; 19570) plays a fundamental role
in microtubule-organizing center structure and function. Centrins also
known as caltractins are a family of calcium-binding phosphoproteins
found in the centrosome of eukaryotes. Centrins are present in the
centrioles and pericentriolar lattice. Human centrin genes are CETN1
CETN2 and CETN3. Centrins are required for duplication of centrioles.

Applications
1) Western blotting (~ 1/1000 dilution)
2) Immunofluorescent staining (1/200~1/500 dilution)

Reactivity: human rodents xenopus

Immunogen: C-terminal peptide of human Centrin-1; 155C-GEVNEEEFLRIMKK168

Purity: Affinity-purified with the immunogen peptide

Form: 1mg/ml in PBS 50% glycerol. Filter-sterilized.

Storage: Shipped at 4℃ and store at -20℃

POGZ (pogo transposable element-derived protein with zinc finger domain; 1410 aa 155 kDa) plays a role in mitotic cell cycle progression and is involved in kinetochore assembly and mitotic sister chromatid cohesion. Probably through its association with CBX5 (HP1 alpha) it plays a role in mitotic chromosome segregation by regulating aurora kinase B/AURKB activation and AURKB and CBX5 dissociation from chromosome arms.

Applications
1. Western Blotting (1/1000 dilution)
2. Immunofluorescece staining (1/500 dilution)
3. Immunoprecipitation (assay dependent)
Not tested for other applications

Storage: Ship at 4℃ and aliquot and store at -20℃
Reactivity; Human and mouse rat hamster

Applications
1. Western blotting (1/200-1/2000 dilution).
2. Immunoprecipitation (assay dependent)

Immunogen ; E. coli expressed and purified 6×His-tagged C-terminal 150 amino acids of human Cdt2
Form; Rabbit polyclonal antiserum added with 0.05 % sodium azide

Function; CDT2 (human 730 aa 79.5 kDa) is substrate-specific adapter of a DCX (DDB1-CUL4-X-box) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex required for cell cycle control DNA damage response and translesion DNA synthesis. The DCX(DTL) complex also named CRL4(CDT2) complex mediates the polyubiquitination and subsequent degradation of CDT1 and CDKN1A/p21(CIP1). CDT1 degradation in response to DNA damage is necessary to ensure proper cell cycle regulation of DNA replication.

DNA methylation is a type of chemical modification of DNA that can be inherited and subsequently removed without changing the original DNA sequence. Therefore it is part of the epigenetic code and is also the most well characterized epigenetic mechanism. DNA methylation results in addition of a methyl group to DNA ― for example to the number 5 carbon of the cytosine pyrimidine ring ― which involves reduction in gene expression. In adult somatic tissues DNA methylation typically occurs in a CpG dinucleotide context; non-CpG methylation is prevalent in embryonic stem cells. This hybridoma has been constructed by Prof. H. Sano.

Nucleoporin 98 (Nup98) is a component of nuclear pore complex (NPC) which is a large protein assembly embedded in the nuclear envelope and highly conserved in eukaryotes. It is localized on both nuclear and cytoplasmic side of NPC. This protein contains glycine-leucine-phenylalanine-glycine (GLFG) amino acid repeats and plays a critical role in nuclear trafficking. Nup98 also plays a specific role in the RNA export. In addition Nup98 plays roles in several important biological events such as gene expression mitotic checkpoint and pathogenesis
Nup98 gene is fused to a variety of partner genes in human myeloid and T-cell malignancies via chromosomal translocation.
In ciliates a unicellular organism having two functionally distinct nuclei GLFG-Nup98 is present in one of the nuclei and a distinct Nup98 ortholog is present in the other nucleus and these different Nup98s participate in a nucleus-selective transport mechanism.
