Rad60 protein (406 aa 46 kDa) of S. pome is required for repair of DNA double strand breaks which occur during replication or induced by UV or gamma radiation via recombination between sister chromatids. This has a subsequent role in the maintenance of chromosome structure. May work in conjunction with the Smc5-Smc6 complex.

Applications
Western blotting (1/1000~2000dilution)
Not tested for other applications
Immunogen: Recombinant full-size Rad60 protein of S. pombe produced in E. coli
Form: Whole rabbit antiserum added with 0.09% sodium azide.
Storage: Sent at 4℃ and store at -20℃

The spliceosomal U1C protein is critical to the initiation and regulation of precursor messenger RNA (pre-mRNA) splicing as part of the U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein particle (snRNP). U1C is needed for efficient complex formation of U1 snRNP with a 5’ splice site.
The antibody was produced from the hybridoma cultured in serum-free medium and purified under mild conditions by propriety chromatography processes.

Applications:
1. Western blotting 2. Immunocytochemistry 3. Immunohistochemistry (frozen section)
4. ELISA Other applications have not been tested.

The 26 S proteasome is a protein complex with a molecular mass of 2000 kDa. It is essential not only for eliminating damaged or misfolded proteins but also for degrading short lived regulatory proteins involved in cell cycle regulation DNA repair signal transduction apoptosis and metabolic regulation (ref.1). The 26S proteasome is composed of the 20S core particle (CP) and the 19S regulatory particle (RP). The RP is further subdivided into lid and base sub-complexes. Rpn9 is one of the non-ATPase subunits of lid. Rpn9 plays a key role in facilitating the assembly of the 26S proteasome or in stabilizing the structure of the 26S proteasome. Rpn9 null mutant is temperature sensitive and exhibits cell cycle and proteasome assembly defects.

Rpn12 is one of the non-ATPase subunits of the lid. Rpn12 interacts with an ATPase subunit Rpt1 of the base. Rpn12 Rpt1 double mutant becomes lethal suggesting a strong interaction between Rpn12 and Rpt1. In the double mutant cells the function of the 26S proteasome is completely eliminated.
